I think there is a good reason why we would never see an anime adaptation of this VN. adapting a 3 branched visual novel took Japan, Ufotable and others, 15 years to accomplish. What we got here with never ending 5th Holy Grail war is still cool though.Īnd This one is a lot weird too. Maybe somewhere else, people are enjoying Fate/Laying Daylight and experiencing 7th Holy Grail War with Shirou's grandchild as a protagonist. "Hah, They got a funny Fate Sequel instead of a Dark one, and that's all they gonna get from main timeline" It's like we're in one of those funny timelines that makes stupid things a reality and other timelines are laughing at us.

>_oĪfter 50 hours of playtime and finishing the story I can confidently say I loved Fate Hollow Ataraxiaīut I think it's one of those games that under normal circumstances should've been made. and It still would be a Funny Slice of Life Visual Novel. I have plans to include all of those in this one too. but Nasu-san, our fans know us because of our gripping stories, vivid sex scenes and violent action scenes. Now we have to start making cash on this success as fast as possible._

I guess baiting young men with promise of dating King Arthur really did pay off at the end. guys, the violent eroge that we published last month was a HUGE success, even bigger than the tsukihime one. I would imagine Kinoko Nasu (the director/Lead Writer of Type-Moon titles such as Fate Stay night) woke up after the release of Fate Stay night in 2004 and went into Type-Moon office and held a meeting: Sure as hell I would get my answers soon. I knew Fate Stay night originated from a visual novel so I was wondering: "How do you make a Sequel to a Story, to a game with Three completely different set of events and outcomes?" When I searched about it I found out It was a Visual Novel and a direct sequel to Fate Stay Night Visual Novel, and just right there my curiosity piqued. Short versions of Fate Grand Order Memorial movie was dropping then too and those were spectacular as well (watch the full version please It's amazing)Īmidst of all these things and being back to the Gacha hell that is Fate Grand Order I happened to encounter a weird name: Fate Hollow Ataraxia Fate Strange Fake special anime actually dropped around that time and I enjoyed it immensely. It made me fall madly in love with those characters again. I was hooked, to the point that I finally understood why Heaven's Feel is amazing, I finally got that it was never about another romance route and It was more about sibling love. Music is a medium full of emotion and this one changed everything. to the point that I started from third movie to just see the climax of that route again, with nothing in my mind.īut It did change everything! I guess it was when "in early spring" started playing in the beginning of the third movie. So I don't know why I decided to re-watch Heaven's Feel. I didn't read, played or even watched anything from Type-Moon after that. Weirdly, the first time I watched them (near their release) I liked them, but not as much and it actually burnt my passion for Fate franchise as a whole. So actually, about three months ago, I was lazing around, and it flew my mind that "Yeah better re-watch that Fate/Stay Night Heaven's Feel movies" with that in mind let me tell you my story. I'm not an expert on this genre and in my eyes, Fate Hollow Ataraxia is my first proper visual novel that I finished. I just wanted you to know where I come from regarding this matter. (which I need time to play either of them). They made me buy a lot of titles like Fata Morgana, Higurashi and Steins gate 0 and. without those titles I would not have confidence that I enjoy something like Fate Hollow Ataraxia. they're still all excellent games and actually a really great gateway for people to enter the visual novel sphere.Īnd That's exactly what happened to me. be it incorporation of puzzle elements in the genre or using fourth wall shattering horror elements to elevate your short game and put an spin on usual dating sims. mainly because all of those games kinda drift from pure form of a Visual Novel. I liked all of them, but I still couldn't call myself an expert on this genre or even an appreciator of it. I even played that Doki Doki Literature club game that caught on fire six or five years ago. I played my fair share of Danganronpa titles and Uchikoshi pieces such as 999 and AI Somnium files. I won't say I'm an expert on Visual novels.
